Polished, ready-to-publish content made easy
Clean up existing content
A second set of eyes is sometimes all you need for peace of mind. Ensure your content is error-free so your readers can focus on what you have to offer or the story you're telling rather than your spelling and grammar.
Blog and article writing
Telling a story isn't just about getting the words on the page. They have to be arranged in a way that is engaging, easy to follow and free from distraction -- like spelling errors. Let me help you craft your story, rather than just write it.
Content writing
Visitors to your website judge your products or services based on what you say about them. Make sure your content is clear and concise so you can go from communication to sale as efficiently as possible.
Content planning
Putting together a plan for consistent content for your blog or news site can be exciting -- and daunting! Together we can evaluate your goals and create your content strategy.

Frequently asked questions
Fun fact! Despite being listed together as a single service, there is a difference between proofreading and copy editing. In general, copy editing is much more involved than proofreading. It includes print layout along with reading through copy for spelling and grammar. Proofreading, on the other hand, is more focused on the copy itself. It’s the process of checking and correcting copy for style, accuracy and flow. For most purposes, the distinction is irrelevant, which is why I have them lumped together — but now you know!
I’m always happy to talk to you about your project! Maybe you have some great blog ideas for your site, but you’re not sure how to go from idea to publication. I can help lay out the process for you and put together a content calendar to help you get organized. Or maybe you have a website with existing content that you want updated but you’re not sure how big a project it’s going to be. We can take a look together and I can give you a pretty good idea of what I think should be done and how long it will take me. I’m always happy to chat!
While I’m not an SEO expert, I can help you keyword your content and write good meta descriptions and slugs. I’m familiar with WordPress and Yoast SEO and regularly work with keywording on my own content.
My hourly rate is reserved for projects that just won’t work well with a per word or flat rate. I bill hourly when I have projects that require me to keep in regular contact with other team members or my clients and when lengthy discussions are part of the job. For example, if you need me to help you with a monthly content calendar, we might spend some time on the phone. Content calendars also don’t lend themselves well to per-word billing because I’m not creating content so much as a plan. For these types of services, I would charge an hourly rate.
Everything is negotiable! If you like what I do but you’re working with a restricted budget, let me know! If I like your project we might be able to work something out — working with great people on interesting things is always a priority for me.
